Last week Caed had a fun time doing this activity. He is sort of hit or miss when it comes to liking art so I was happy when he spent a good 30 minutes on this project. (I got the idea on Pinterest).
On a white pillow case we out paper cups in between the layers and wrapped rubber bands around them. Then Caed used Sharpie markers to make designs or color on the raised circle part. Then he sprayed the circle with rubbing alcohol, it spread and made a pretty design.
It was in fact a "beautiful flower pillowcase for the Lorax" - at one point C told me, "I think the Lorax with really like my beautiful design!"
Here he is later making truffular trees also for the Lorax :)
