Our Little Monkeys

So I like to put our kids in the same clothes and take pictures right?!

Here is Caed at 15 months in the monkey costume.

Here is Beatrice at 18 months in the same outfit.

Here are the other pictures from last weeks photo shoot. It was hard work to get Beia to smile - I think next time we need to in the evening after nap/dinner. But there were a few cute ones.

I had to get this one because this is her "sassy arm" - she gets her lips all pouty and says 'no' then gets her arm swinging back and forth - classic.

Oh the Words that They Say

I found the list on my computer of our favorite things Caed said at 17 months. So last month we made a list of Beia's 17 month words too. Caed definitely said more complicated long words, but Beia has way more Chinese and BY words too. And she talks a lot. Tries to repeat anything. We love making her say octopus :) They were/are both blankie kids and thumb suckers.

here is 17 month C

This was right before we moved to the city we live in now- Caed was exactly 117 months old!

Here is 17 month B

The kids at Caed's school love her

Sensory and Fine motor Play

When Caed was little I feel like I set up all sorts of 'fun' activities for him. Beatrice is not getting quite the same treatment so far! There is this group of moms and grandmas that take their babies out to play at the same time each afternoon that we go to. Caed calls it B's 'school' - its pretty cute.

Anyway today Sean was gone all day and Caed and I did set up some fun stuff for Bei.

Pudding painting. C helped me make some homemade pudding with cornstarch, milk, sugar and food coloring.

She liked using the spoon and the paintbrush, but overall she is a pretty 'clean' baby

No fancy play tables here. But we do have a stool with holes in the top
 and an abundance of chopsticks!

such concentration

This kept her busy for a good long time!

Joy

We were sitting on the couch tonight making Beia laugh. I looked at Sean and said, "Doesn't this just seem unreal sometimes?" I remember being pregnant and thinking the same thing - "This is really happening?!" Beatrice has lived up to her name thus far, she is an unending bringer of joy to our family.

While in the States people wanted to see more pictures of our home here. This is what bath time is like, we have no bath so Caed uses a blow up pool and Beia a baby bath. There is no drain in the bathroom, so the guy who put in our toilet cut a tiny hole out of the tile in front of the toilet (see the small square black hole there), so that is fun...

Beia sits up here sometimes when I am cooking to 'help' me

Daddy's Girl

Since Beatrice first made her arrival people have said how much she looks like her dad. Well here you have it, here she is at 4 months and Sean at 3 months - if you cover up eyes and hair I think they are dead on :)

Also when you let your gege pick out your clothes for the day this is what ends up happening. He picked all of the 'prettiest' clothes she had and then insisted she be called Princess Cherry Flower Heart.

Pigtails!!!

Four months full of cuteness. And she loves her fingers.

These are Beia's first ever pigtails

Four months big

enough pictures mom, i'm going to make my frowny face now

Three Months, Look-a-likes

3 month Caeders

3 month Beezer

So as I was cleaning out the shed here at my parents house I came across this duck stuffed animal and this old pillow case. I remembered that there was a picture of my as a baby with the duck and the pillow case so I washed them both and we went on a hunt for that picture and found it! We asked some friends to help us find a pink roller {though it was a bit bigger than the original} and then we were all ready to recreate the picture with Beia :)
