2nd Birthday

here is the cake i made for Caedmon's b-day party today. i even made foundant from scratch (i don't even know how to pronounce that word!). oh and i made the fruit leather (nose and mouth) from scratch too - that took a really LONG time.

we had a joint party at a chicken place in town. we ordered tons of nuggets and fries and brought our own dips (bbq sauce, ranch dip and honey mustard). G and C both turn 2 this week

Presents & Beans

earlier this week we got a surprise package from our friends at home. it was filled with gifts and cards for caed's 2nd b-day. he is IN LOVE with his new hot wheels. he knows all of there names. here he is eating dinner with them...

and then crying because he stuck one in his food and got them taken away.

we stared doing 'tacticle time' every afternoon. we play with thigs like shaving cream. beans, rice etc. (and yes we will end up eating the beans:). caed loves it - he played with these beans for 30 minutes straight.

Elephants 2008, 2010

While we were in Thailand we took Caed back to the Elephant park. We had been there when he was only a few days old with GP, Grandma and Nana. Back then GP had really wanted one of the paintings that the elephants did but never got one. So as a surprise for his 60th b-day coming up very soon we went back and bought him 2 of these paintings. They got to CA and mom had them framed. then we got to surprise him on skype! So much fun.

Time Away

We are coming to an end of our time outside of CN. I am at a place where i can us internet now so i am busy uploading tons of blogs and pics. we had such a nice time relaxing as a family before ou conference. we stayed at a hotel with a pool - which was Caed's highlight.

his very favorite thing to do was, "flippies" where sean would throw him way up and catch him in the water. (he didn't actually flip :).

while at conference last week caed went to "school" - childcare. he loved going and playing with all his friends and AMAZING teachers. the teachers had flown in to bless us all by watching the kids and putting together an amazing program while we attended conference.

he was a "playful puppy" 1-2 year olds. among his favorite activities were stamping pieces of paper, playing in the blow-up pool, making bubbles, plaing in the tent...

at night in his chrib i would hear him singing all new songs he had learned :)
