CNY Eve

So last night was theBIG night. Imagine a fireworks show that lasts for 5+ hours...
At the start of the day people lit off firecrackers in the hallways. Caed freaked out. Every time one went off he would cry and run to us... and thus began a long day. With no way to escape the fireworks and loud bangs we had planned to meet up with some Chinese friends from our neighborhood in the big park where everyone around here gathers to set off fireworks. So before we left we prayed with Caed.
When we got outside and he saw them he would say, "firework, all done, go home." But after about 30 minutes he was fine - PTL. He even got out of the Ergo and ran around with his friends. ANd he even was willing to try out sparklers (he had burned himself the day before and was scared of them). I got hit in the face with one - ouch. These kids lit some by Sean's feet and ran away - freaked Sean out - that was hilarious! Then we went to a friends house who has a good view of the park and watched them from there.
Caed fell asleep in the Ergo on the way home, amidst blasts and bangs from all directions. He slept straight through the BIG shabbang at midnight. And then the firecrackers started again at about 6 am. We are tired.
